Increased Fruit Size and Crop Yield for Citrus
We tested the effects of BAM-FX during a ten month field trial with a grower in Temecula, California from February to November 2015. The (Kishu?) trees were not producing as much new leaf growth and fruit compared to other trees in the groves. As Kishu trees age, both the fruit size and yield diminishes and the fruit’s marketable appearance is poor. These factors result in a more time consuming harvest and sorting process. We conducted the trials to evaluate whether these issues could be addressed with soil-drenching and a foliar spray application of BAM-FX. The proprietary technology behind BAM-FX has been proven to boost new leaf growth, increase fruit size/crop yield and reduce standard fertilization protocols giving the grower an increased ROI.
Fruit Growers Lab Inc. (an independent lab) conducted a fruit analysis at the end of the growth cycle and the results show that BAM-FX increases the macro and micro nutrient levels, including calcium, copper and zinc. Additionally, the data collected demonstrates that with just two applications of BAM-FX there was improved overall tree appearance, vitality and growth. We saw an increase in desirable fruit size, significantly higher fruit yield and lower sodium content.
